More than 3000 years ago immense parts of the Tschirgant mountain massively crashed into the valley by blocking the entrance to the Ötztal. Today this wonderful area amidst the densely populated Tyrolean Inntal has become a true nature treasure, almost untouched by men. Two breathtaking loop trails travel straight through this awesome landscape called "Sautner Forchet", which is known for its exciting cultural spots (Kalkofen area, cavehouse, …). Information panels inform about the region's fauna and geology.
